Photoshop CS3 Allows You To Choose Between A Single Or Double Column Toolbar

Photoshop CS3 marked the first time in a long time that Adobe made significant changes to the user interface in Photoshop, but they made some major changes in Photoshop CS3. One of the changes was with Photoshop's Toolbar. Up until CS3, the Toolbar had always used a two column layout, but in Photoshop CS3, suddenly we're given a much longer single column toolbar.

If you're not too comfortable with change or you simply prefer the traditional double column toolbar, there's an easy way to switch between the single and double column layouts. If you look in the top left corner of the toolbar, you'll see tiny little arrows pointing left and right. Clicking on the arrow switches between the single and double column toolbar:

If you give it some time, you'll probably find you prefer the new single column design for the toolbar, but whichever layout you prefer, Photoshop CS3 makes it easy to switch between the two.
